Espíritus de la Tierra (Spirits of the Earth) by Carlos Cea was commissioned by the Portland EcoFilm Festival for our 2024 festival season. The image celebrates biodiversity, the spirit that animates life on Earth, and that which connects it all.

Carlos is our featured visual artist for 2024. He lives in San Cristóbal, Chiapas, Mexico, where he is dedicated mostly to painting walls, canvases, and clothing.
